I always use the speech processor and I use the settings below: TX BPF = 200-2800 (try 400-2600 for DX pileup) MIC GAIN = 35 (40 to 45 if you speak softly) AMC = 65 +/-. Sadly my only complaint on the ftdx10 was a single antenna input. I wish it had a rx antenna input, it’s light years better then my 991a and much better audio out, my 991a would splatter the upper when Tx on lsb. The dials are in better places now on the 710, for example. I like my FTDX10 but don't use all the features and wish it had better ergonomics, and was a bit cheaper. So the 710 sounds good. At least as good as a 7300. It's no hybrid but it is a newer SDR design.
